Solidbody sustain and semi-hollow tone in a versatile new Standard
The Midtown Standard from Gibson USA represents a seamless blend of tradition and innovation, and yields a superbly versatile electric guitar as a result. In a marriage of legendary Gibson solidbodies and semi-acoustics like the ES-335, the Midtown Standard has a maple top with f-holes on a substantially chambered mahogany body, for great solidbody sustain and semi-hollow tonal depth and dimension. This elegant design excels at a surprisingly broad musical spectrum, from hard rock to mellow jazz and everything in between, and all at an unbeatable price for an American-made Gibson guitar. A Burst Bucker 1 neck pickup and hotter Burst Bucker 2 bridge pickup offer the breadth, clarity and dynamics of legendary PAF humbuckers thanks to their mismatched coil windings and Alnico II magnets. The mahogany neck has the popular Slim Taper profile with a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dots and a pearl Gibson headstock logo. A chrome Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece contribute their famous combination of rock-hard string anchoring and precise intonation adjustment.
This guitar is pre-owned but has only been played a handful of times. It is in like new condition with absolutely no signs of any wear whatsoever. And as an added it bonus it does NOT have the robot tuning system that so many Gibsons from 2015 came with. It comes with the original Gibson hardshell case as shown in the pictures.
