We are pleased to offer a super-rare custom archtop cutaway guitar (electric pickup version), the Andersen Emerald City Reserve crafted by one of the most highly regarded Archtop Guitar builders on the planet. This is Steven’s Top-Of-The-Line 17” Blond Emerald City Reserve, a cut above his Emerald City Model.
According to his website, “Borrowing its moniker from a popular nickname for Seattle, the Emerald City is among the most ornate of the Andersen archtop guitars. It’s curvaceous lines are stylistically inspired by the Art Deco movement of the early 1900’s. Careful attention to detail and timeless elegance combine to make the Emerald City an object of beauty, as well as a remarkable sounding guitar.
Construction details include engraved mother of pearl truss rod cover, ivoroid binding around the body, f-holes, neck and peghead, and the most highly figured domestic maple for back, sides and neck. In addition, a unique tailpiece made of carbon fiber and ebony follows the Art Deco theme.”
Standard features:
• Premium Engelmann Spruce soundboard
• Scale length: 25.4″ standard
• 3″ body depth
• Schaller tuners
The fine woods have settled nicely over the years and this guitar has that elusive tone only found in a few special instruments. This exquisite master-built high-end instrument has fine craftsmanship displayed throughout, including the subtle carved curves in the cutaway area. This guitar has seen little use and is in excellent condition. It has a few marks and exhibits some finish checking. It comes with a world’s best $1000.00 Calton Custom Case. The case has some scratches and performed it's duty to protect this special instrument.
This guitar is hand signed by Steven Andersen. Our understanding is this guitar costs $14,000.00 when new and a considerable wait time if you order a one.
We love to trade. We will consider vintage, used or newer guitars, basses, amps, etc… and jewelry, including Rolex watches in trade. All offers considered.
