We love unique guitars and this one is no exception. This Riviera Reissue Limited Edition of 250 units is from 1993. These were the first USA Made Riviera guitars since the 1960s. Gibson never made any move Riviera models in the USA since. This guitar was made in Nashville.
This Riviera is finished in rare Blond (Natural). There has been mods done to this guitar (makes it a much better player in our opinion) as the Frequensator Tailpiece was removed and a Stop Tailpiece was professionally added (three trap tailpiece holes shown on butt end of guitar near the strap button.. Also, the strap button was moved from the back of the body to the bass horn. Original hard case, blue lining.
These hardly ever become available and we haven’t seen any with the stop tailpiece mod. Another huge advantage on these reissues is their full 1 11/16” nut width, unlike the original late 1960s Rivs with skinny 1 9/16” nuts.
This guitar shows play wear but is in very good to excellent condition. Frets are fine. Nice medium chunky mahogany neck. Gibson Deluxe original tuners.
