An extremely cool double neck lap steel guitar, this Fender Stringmaster D8 dates to 1955. It appears to be all original and is in great working and playing condition. As can be seen in the photos, there are a few holes that have been drilled through during some point in in its life, but they do not affect the sound and playability. The tone knob has a bent stem (not the pot stem) but it does rotate smoothly. We decided against trying to straighten it out of fear of breaking it. Aside from the that, the lap steel appears to be all original with beautiful patina and mojo and includes the original tweed hard shell case and legs as shown, as well as an old slide bar.
