1940s Lord Elgin Swing Lug "Drivers" Watch
-This vintage piece is quite lovely, and it was designed with a very interested use in mind. A "drivers" watch is made with swing lugs that allow the watch to be worn on the side of your wrist, rather than the top so that you can check the time without needing to remove your hands from the steering wheel!
-The watch case is 14k Gold Filled, and not including the lugs measures about 20mm x 20mm. This makes an incredible ladies watch, and can still be worn by a man with high taste as well!
-The black dial is accented with gold toned hour indicators, with roman numerals at 12, 3 and 9.
-Sub-second hand at 6 o'clock
-This watch is pre-owned and in remarkable condition considering it is well over 70 years old with minimal scratching on the case and lugs. The acrylic crystal is also in good condition without any major scratching
-Elgin 626 Mechanical movement (Manufactured between 1947-1950)(see photos)
-Watch runs and keeps time. There is not history of service for this watch, and it is sold as-is.
